Hi All,
I make this a post in both BC and Edge 100 forums.
I have the next problem. Since a couple of weeks I own and Edge 1000 (before a GPSMAP 62s). It's a fine piece of equipment! But...I have a problem related to the external SD card.
I have an extra SD card installed. That holds some maps. Maps work fine, they show up on the Edge and in basecamp. I also want to add some tracks to the external SD card. I copied them in BC to the SD card as it shows up under the device connected, same as copying some tracks to the internal storage, and the same as I was used to do with the GPSmap62s.
But than the files do NOT shop up on the edge 100.
I found in some forum an alternative way to place files on the external SD card. I copied the .GPX files to the "NewFiles" folder on the SD card, start the Edge 1000 and they show up on the Edge 1000 under the "Routes" menu. (When I look at the SD card from the explorer I noticed the edge copied the .gpx files from the NewFiles folder to .fit files. This seems to be the newest format.)
So anyway this seems to work, as I can place .gpx files on the external SD card, and they show up on the edge 1000. But now when I connect to BC these files doe not show up in BC at all.
So...question is is this a bug, or is this as it is supposed to be?
I would expect that whenever I drag a track to either the internal storage or the SD card in BC they will show up on my device or not?
Regard,
johan
