I have had my Nuvi 2300 for a couple of years. At first it worked great. Then last year I was using it to go to a friends new house, and it turned itself off after a couple of blocks of driving. If I sit still, it will stay on 'till the batteries run out, or I run out of gas. However, once I get moving it works for a while until all of the sudden there is a fraction of a millisecond bright flash on the screen, then it turns off. Plugged in, not plugged in, it does the same thing. I have stopped using it for a full year 'till this past weekend.
This weekend I went camping, and took it with me to see any differences. It did same as usual on the way up to Gold Lake, CA. On the way home my Garmin turned itself off once. I turned it back on, and it stayed on all the way 'till I hit Sacramento. Once I hit Sacramento, it turned itself off, and kept doing as it always does.
I have updated to the newest maps via Garmin Express, and still this morning to work it turned itself off. I had taken my SD card out, and still no difference.
Any help would be great, or this is my first and will be last Garmin I'll ever be buying. Thank you.
