Delete from interval storage

I send a couple of routes and waypoints from basecamp to my zumo 350.
While importing the routes in the travel app on the zumo, the device crashed.
My guess is it can't handle all the routes at once, so I want to send only a subset.

However all the routes I send the first time, stay on the internal storage and keep showing up in the travel app import dialog.
How can I delete these routes and waypoints I don't want? I can see them in basecamp when selecting the device internal storage, but there is no option to delete them. Also I can't find the files when going thru the file system of the device.

One other question. In the zumo there is an extra sd card. This card used to show up in basecamp, and it was possible to select it as a destination when sending stuff to the zumo. Now it's no longer available in the basecamp. I can still see it using windows explorer, so the device detects the card.

Ps: didn't find a zumo specific forum.
  • There aren't device specific forums unfortunately :(

If you've sent data to your Zumo using Basecamp it normally shows in the GPX folder of your device as temp.gpx, so you need to delete any stray files both in the GPX folder of your device and the card. Not sure why your card isn't now showing in Basecamp though as it certainly should do

OK that did the trick. Thanks.

SD-card still not showing in BC. Strange.
  • That is strange given it showed before. I initially thought card could be loose but as it shows up in Explorer that can't be the case. You haven't swapped cards or reformatted it have you? Card should be formatted FAT32 for Garmin devices. If it's not it will show in Explorer but not work in the device, although I thought it would still show in Basecamp but perhaps not.

No, I haven't reformatted the card. Also there are maps installed on the SD-card. If I remove the card, they are not available on the device, and when I reinsert the card they
are back. So the Zumo can read the card just fine.

    Still nothing is BC.

Also, BC keeps saying there is an update for my device while this is not the case. The latest update is installed. Pretty annoying.
  • Only other thing I can suggest is try an uninstall/reinstall of basecamp ...

Thanks for the support, but I'll open a new thread for this specific issue. I want to avoid reinstalling basecamp as there
are several maps installed and I don't want to have to redo all the installs.
  • Okay. I'll close this thread then.

Note though that reinstalling won't affect your maps.
