Cant load map update to Basecamp

I updated my Nuvi device to map version 2015.40. When I open Basecamp, with the Nuvi attached I can see the new map and select it. However, when the Nuvi is not connected I only have the prior version of the map shown.

How do I download the latest version of the map to Basecamp so that I dont have to have the Nuvi attached to use the latest version?

When I attempt to use Garmin Express to download to "Install to computer" I get an error message "there was an error installing the update".

Can i load the map to the computer from the Nuvi?

No you can't load your map from the nuvi into BaseCamp.

I'd try restarting your PC and run Express again. I assume it's up to date?

I didnt have the current release of Garmin Express. I download the latest and was then successful on installing the map onto the PC.
