Different activity than Bike gives no calculate route!? who knows a answer?

I have a strange problem in basecamp 4.4.7.
I tied to create a route with 2 or more waypoints, if I select bike as activity no problem it works and avoids motor highways, i did "not selected skip highways".
When I select e.g. motor or car I get the message that it is calculating and it finds an error, after this it gives straight lines between the waypoints and it thus not follow any road.
I tried it with the world map (inside basecamp) and OFM europe. I thought I remembered it did work before?
I found out now that so long as I do not use Motor Highways it works for all activities, but it avoids the motor highways!
Who can help me on this?

Could you post screen shots of what you are seeing? Also can you post the set of settings you are using for your Biking activity? And the exact map and version you are attempting this on? That would give us more information to try and assist you with this.

    Thanks! :)

It was my problem using OFM this map thus not have routing on motor highways. But after using OFM it did not work on world map as well, restarting BC did the job on world map.
Something else is interesting or coincidence:
I using the edge 810 and had a lot of crashes with using tracks ( almost every ride), I tried to reduce the amount on trackpoints to see if this made it more reliable.
I filtered the track on every 25m and until now after more than 16 rides there are no problems anymore and almost al TBT are working fine (95%)
The tracks are now around the 4000- 5000 points.
Something what is not working correct in the filter is filtering on time, then I get sometimes very long straight lines and they not following the road.
If you could look into that?

I am curious to know if the GPX file from the device that contains your 4k-5k points is a large file. Sounds like it is.

We are looking into a case here where large data files from devices are causing a crash. I will keep you posted.

Window 7 Calculator has a user friendly feature to convert length and velocity measurements between metric and imperial systems. While I was trying to get my head in gear as to the possible cause of this reported issue, it occurred to me that fitness device filtering might be different at automobile speeds than at bicycle speeds in the same track large gps track file. Whatever "large" means in a specific device.
  • Will send the files, if you send me your email adres
