Hi Fellow BaseCamp users.... I'm not sure if I have this wrong, but when I was using Mapsource, I had several maps installed for different purposes. ie. City Navigator to plan a trip with and then when I located the area, I switched to a map created showing tracks and trails. When I switched, the maps stayed at the same scale and location. You could switch between the various maps to see almost an overlay and you viewed the same location.
I am now running BaseCamp 4.4.7 and Win8.1 With my Nuvi 3590LMT, I have the City Navigator maps installed and on my Rhino I have the Tracks and Trails. When I view the city navigator with BaseCamp and narrow onto an area, I choose to switch to the Tracks and trails map and the BaseCamp program expands the scale of the new map and I have to drill back down again. I have tried placing the Tracks and Trails map on the Nuvii, but the action of scaling and location still change, so having the maps on the same GPS is not the problem.
All of my maps are doing this and I was sure it was not doing so before. Is there a setting I'm missing on setting, is there a change in the software itself. Whatever I find it very annoying and a waste of time. It also creates errors on trip planning.
I just went back to Mapsource and the scales and location stay the same. I do not have an earlier version of BaseCamp to confirm my statements, but I am pretty sure the scale and location were consistent when changing maps.
