Selecting Map from Basecamp

In Mapsource, I used Map Tool, as shown in the attached image m1.gif, to select the maps from the main panel.
I cannot find Map Tool in the Basecamp. The workaround is to use MapInstall as shown in the attached image m2.jpg.
MapInstall isn't very user friendly so that I have to joggle with zooming buttons when selecting maps from different regions.

Is there a Map Tool in the BaseCamp?
Although Basecamp is a power app, I find the interface isn't as user friendly as the Mapsource.
Is it just me feeling this way?

    No. You need to use MapInstall. I haven't directly accessed it for a while, I right click the device in BaseCamp and select Install maps.

    You could of course just continue to use MapSource?

    Selecting parts of maps in BaseCamp > MapInstall is as about as bad as it gets which is why I use MapSource most times, especially if I just want parts of maps. Why on earth they try to make us poke around in a little map box, nudging and zooming the map to suit is just another Garmin mystery. Designed by the same type of people that thought it a terrific idea to put a micro USB (not the usual mini USB) on some of the largest units like the zumo 590 and nuvi 7" screen. Or lumbered the "budget" hand-held units like the eTrex 10, 20, 30 and 62 with only USB 1 transfer speed. Or think that 8-9 screen taps is OK to swap nuvi map navigation from Shortest to Fastest Route.
