Loaded Basecamp, lacking detail

I have bought a new laptop, and down loaded Basecamp but it only shows main roads, no side roads show up, when I checked on my old laptop all the side roads are there, I connected up my satnav and the side roads were displayed until I disconnected.

How do I get the side roads to show up like my old laptop does?

You need to install a map into BaseCamp, what you're seeing is simply the basemap. Two options, download your maps to your new laptop using Express (assuming you have lifetime maps) or use JaVaWa's GMTK program to transfer them from your old to new laptop

Many thanks for that, I have lifetime maps and have just connected up my satnav and down loaded maps to my computer and all the detail is now there, I always kept my satnav's up to date but haven't been keeping my laptop up to date as well, so that's something I've learnt from this when checking for up dates, it's not just the satnav that needs keeping up to date.
