Duplicate maps, folders ?

After latest map updates I plugged in my Nuvi while running BaseCamp
I noted Base Camp showed map 2015.20 on internal memory and 2015.40 on memory card

Went searching my PC for old maps and found the following

A folder "City navigator 2010.20"
another "CNnant 2009
also CSNA8 and CSNA7.
All the individual files in CSNA7 were duplicated in that folder.

How do I get rid of map 2015.20?

Is it OK to remove the duplicate files in CSNA7?

What are to old 2009, 2010.20 folders for?

Seems like a lot of clutter is left after Garmin updates either BaseCamp or the maps on my Nuvi

    Can you post a screen shot of this? Also have you tried contacting Garmin support regarding this issue?

    In this picture you can see

    - old 2010.20 folder. This does not show as an installed program under Win-7 Control panel
    - Duplicate files in folder CSNA7


    Note the folder CNNANT 2009 and CSNA6

    Note lots of problems attaching or inserting pictures. Every file I submitted was rejected as too large. Even an 11Kb image.

    I figured out how to load 1 image. Can provide more if needed.

    1. Just delete the City Navigator 2010.20 folder.
    2. If the CNNANT2009 and CSNA8 folders are empty and do not show up in the installed programs list just delete them.
    3. If you're still using City Select 7 you can delete the duplicates. Otherwise just delete it all or uninstall it from the control panel if it's in the installed programs list.

    If you want an excellent map management tool install JaVaWa's GMTK. It will help you verify and clean up your map files.

    Thanks for reply. I have 3 GPS so will first confirm which map ver each is using then delete the un-needed folders & files.

    My nuvi has CN North America NT 2015.40 on the memory card and 2015.20 on internal storage.

    Any idea how I delete the older map info? I have run Garmen Express but that didn't remove anything.

    Often an idea to leave a map installed on the nuvi just so if you lose the SD card you at least can still use it albeit with an out of date map.
