Fast way to assign categories

Just picked up a new Nuvi 2797 and found MS wouldn't recognize it so been learning Basecamp. I found how to assign categories to waypoints but is there a way to assign the same category to multiple waypoints at the same time.

Apologies in advance if this has been discussed before. Did some searching but since I'm new to the forum it would take me days to read all the threads that have the word category in it.

Yes, just block select them and then right click the selection and select Open. Changes then made apply to all the waypoints you've selected, so you can multiple apply changes in categories, waypoint symbols etc.

incidentally Mapsource will work with your nuvi but you need to set your nuvi to mass storage mode.

Figured out how to put the Nuvi in Mass Storage mode and it does now connect to MS, thank you. I'll try to switch to BaseCamp.
