Under "Edit, Device transfer" I should be able to set the maximum number of track points, so that routes that exceed it are simplified. This option used to work great for me, but these days it doesn't. Does anyone know whether this is a bug in newer versions of Basecamp or whether I do anything wrong? It's a bit of a problem, because all tracks are now cut off after 250 points, because my Dakota 20 does not accept more points.
Thanks for your help. I can filter tracks, but I don't see this option with routes. Is there a way to reduce the number of points for routes too? I think I used to be able to do this under "Edit, Device transfer".
Sorry, you mentioned tracks and cutting off after 250 points so I covered tracks. I can't recall ever being able to limit points in a route. If you need to then I guess you could convert them to tracks, reduce the number of points and then convert back to a route, but I've never tried it.
