I've got all of them checked to avoid: Interstates, Highways, etc. Yet it puts me on major highways when I calculate a route. Am I doing something wrong, or is the software funky?? thanks
Yeah, I assumed the avoidances were similar to the Nuvi, so I clicked them all, duh. But I thought unclicking Residential Roads would do it, but it wasn't until I unclicked State Highways that the "real" Highways were avoided. Thanks for helping me!
The two digit Nuvi 56 with trip planner will recalculate any route I try to import. However the Nuvi has an internal road routing setting to avoid the highest classification of USA highways, and seems to do a better job of avoiding those highways than BC.
