How to view campgrounds without zooming a long way in..

I have been using BC for sometime and have no problem with it.

Here's what I would like to do:
While trying to find a campground in the area where I plan to travel. I have found that I have to zoom in to about .5 mile in the highest level to see the campgrounds. Then I see all the other POI's that I am not interested in. I would like to set BC so I can see the POI's that I am interested in. Such as Campgrounds, RV parks, COE parks. I don't need to see all the hospitals, grocery stores, gas stations. I would like to select what POI's I want to see and when I can see them such as 1.0m zoom setting.

I have found that if I place a Waypoint that at or over the POI in the database I can see that Waypoint from a very high zoom out level.

I would like to take the POI of the campground and add it to my list so I don't have to keep placing Waypoints when a POI is available.

Not exactly what you want, but if you right click on the map and select Find Nearest Places -> Lodging -> Campground, you will see them all, at any zoom level, and BC will remember your selection, so next time around you can do a one click Find.

This is the only way I have found to do this, and I have hundreds of CGs in various lists. I ALSO vet almost every one from other sources since I am so particular about where I camp. By the time I have done that, the time spent to place a waypoint on top of the POI is negligible.

You can also set which points etc Basecamp displays in Edit, Options, Activity profile, Map display features

Yes, Campground/RV park is a selectable point under Lodging, so maybe playing with Display Features checkboxes will help get the OP what he wants. This will have no effect, however, on what shows up at which zoom level, the OP's initial concern.

Keep in mind that every different map has different POI's, so the effect of checking and unchecking those boxes will have different effects on different maps. If a map does not have a specific type of POI, that box will have no effect.
