I am using the nuvi 3597. As a test, I made a small “trip” from start flag to end flag (see picture) and then located the navigator (car) a little ways before the start flag. I started the trip in Trip Planner by Go, but “Selecting Next Destination” as the start flag NOT as the end flag. The car started from its current location and went to the start flag and on to the end flag as was the desire. This is a way to get out of a confusing city (or place) onto a major roadway route with a destination that has been formed with many programmed waypoints.
Here there is a darker magenta route line from the start flag to the end flag as compared from the car to the start flag . What is the meaning of the darker line? I have seen this where a route back tracking on itself is a darker shade. But here there is no back tracking.
