"Food" missing in POI menu

What map are you using? With BaseCamp 4.4.6 I have "Food and Drink" in the Find Points of Interest pull down menu as long as I have a map enabled that has them. If I enable a map without them like the base map or a topo map then the option is not on the menu.

It does seem to be map related. Food & Drink is missing in mine too: BC 4.4.6, CN NA NT 2015.4. But it is there on 2015.3 & 2015.2

The "Food and Drink" did disappear just after I loaded 2015.4. However the Restaurant search still works on my Garmin unit. I changed the map on my Base Camp back to 2015.3 and guess what, the Food and Drink came back. This is a bug in the 2015.4 map.

This seems to happen after a map update. Or, at least, it happens to me. Check this thread and follow the instructions at the end.

Does this installation issue occur with all Windows Operating System versions, or only specific releases. (Please read DaveA_ link above for context of possible solution.)

The issue has been around for a long time although the caching mechanism was changed some time ago to mitigate the issue.

My solution is to select, in the map drop down list, any nearly installed map and leave the computer for 5 minutes or so the cache is fully built.
