Why can't I see the City Navigator maps that are on my nuvi 65? I hook it to the computer, Garmin Express sees it. Everything is up to date. Base camp sees it and shows it in the devices column. I wait for the green progression bar to stop, but the maps are no where. They are not listed under the maps tab. All I have available is Global Map, Topo 2008 (which is on my computer from Mapsource days), and Trip and Waypoint Mngr v3( also from Mapsource). What am I missing? Was about to buy a new handheld Garmin but not so sure now.
It seems Basecamp may have an issue with the latest '2 digit' nuvis. I assume you've allowed the green progress bar to stop as it can take a while for Basecamp to index the map and until then it will not show up under the Maps tab.
You should also be able to use Express to install the map to your PC so there is no need for Basecamp to read the map from the nuvi.
Sure enough when I hooked up my old nuvi 50LM everything worked just fine. Maps loaded and all was good. Is Garmin working on a fix for the 65 series problem in BaseCamp?
