Can you drag a route where you want it in Basecamp?

New to BC, a little daunting, but think it'll be great once I get familiar with it. Is it possible to fine tune a route by dragging it where I'd like or do I have to create waypoints for it to pass thru. I've done it using waypoints, but a PITA creating them, finding them on the list, then adjusting their order to make it work. Would be great if I could just drag the route? THANX. BTW, using version 4.4.6

Sure ....

One way is select the hand tool, press the Alt key and click on the route .... You can then rubber band it.

Another is ... right click it and select 'insert into route'.

Yeah great help! If they could make this tool less intuitive I would really appreciate it. OMG!

Just for S&G's, where would you find that info if you didn't belong to the forum? Where is the menu item, "hover over" hint, or explicit instruction to use ALT+ with the Hand tool to reshape your route?

Once you get into this tool, it's not bad, however it lacks an awful lot of common sense.

I agree there is a lack of clear information on much of the Basecamp processes, both the help files and videos accessible via the Help button need an extensive overhaul. When that might happen I don't know but it's long overdue IMO.
