I really get angry when I download software and it causes problems with other things on my computer. Tonight when I went into my folder where PhotoShop files are, I see the Basecamp and Garmin icon on some of my .psd PhotoShop files. What caused this to happen and how do I get rid of the erroneous icon?
Sounds like your computer is confused as to what should open a .psd file. To correct this right click on one of the PSD files, then select "Open With."Click on PhotoShop and check "Always use the selected program to open this type of file." Then click OK.
When I go to properties of the file, the photoshop icon is there. I removed all Garmin related software. Oh my, they sure to install a lot of stuff when the software is installed. This is on an XP PC. I also have the software installed on a Windows 7 laptop. I have not checked that yet to see what the Garmin software did.
