G'day Everyone,
guess what I am still having trouble with everything Garmin..sorry !
Question:
How do I create a route that my GPS (Zumo 390) follows ?
The Long Version :
I created a route with no deliberate waypoint from A to B. The route took a number of small detours and was NOT the fastest, nor shortest, nor curviest route BUT simply MY route I wanted to take. The route had the default start and end waypoints and looked ok in Bascamp. After I transferred it to my Zumo and brought it up it still looked ok. However, whenever ZUMO is forced to recalculate the route it simply drops my route and recalculates the route based on either fastest, shortest or curvy mode, depending on what I have set.
This is NOT what I want from my ZUMO !
In most cases on my weekend motorcycle rides I just want it to follow MY route and not discard it whenever it feels it needs to recalculate. If I am for one reason or another deviate from my route I want it to recalculate and guide me back to my original route and then continue with that instead of discarding my route between between my current location and the next waypoint, which is the end point and the whole route.
How do I make it do that, short of having to create more waypoints then I need to ensure it follows the route I want. THAT can't be the answer as I might still forget one. There has to be a better way since the route in known to Basecamp. ZUMO just needs to follow that route like a breadcrumb trail !
Can anybody help out ?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
