Update available-Not really

. Anyone else getting false update notices from Basecamp?

Yes, all the time. :mad: When I have Garmin Express running, it seems to get it right, but I only run that when I want to update a map. Irritating, but not of very much consequence. It would help if everybody knew exactly which firmware they were running and could spot the anomaly right away, but I'm sure most don't. Since I've always cancelled the prompt, I'm not sure what it would actually do....doesn't make much sense for it to revert, but I wouldn't put anything past Garmin software and I'm NOT willing to experiment.

Hmm, I have the 64s also. I wonder what device Rockytfs has and if it only happens with that device or others as well. Well, it's pretty easy to identify since the notice shows both the current and suggested versions and we can ignore it until it shows an actual updated version.

I have a Montana....you are right, my Nav V has not done this.....yet.:rolleyes:

Workaround:
Say yes to the update, WebUpdater or Express will start, then end the update process.

BaseCamp now thinks that the device is updated (extrenal application is started), will redo the update check (at next startup of bc), and will notice that the latest version is installed and will not bug you anymore.
