sending file to my monterra

Im trying to transfer a file from basecamp onto my Monterra. I press find device and this message pops up. What do I need to do for it to pair my gps...

No devices were found. Please make sure your device is connected to the computer and turned on, then try again.
You may also need to set the interface option on your gps to 'Garmin' or 'Host'...

I'm not sure but I found this advice, it may help:

Only one application at a time can connect to a MTP device so make sure Android File Transfer is not running. In fact if you don't need it, uninstall it, because it starts a background process that can cause issues. Make sure BaseCamp is running when you connect the Monterra. Even multiple Garmin applications can't share the device, so make sure you are only running one Garmin application at a time, e.g. if you run MapInstall or WebUpdater from BaseCamp, you'll want to quit BaseCamp after the other application is started.

Sorry but I have no clue what you mean.... It still wont work it wont find my device. Is there another program I can use? Even map source cant find my device. I had a 60c before and no problem it was just plug and play. This Monterra is giving me grief especially when im not computer literate...
