Can I manage my items from Basecamp ?

Howdy,

I like to be able to clean up old tracks, delete favs I added during a trip etc, from the left window in Bascamp when I connect my Zumo 390. The stuff shows up under "Devices" but I don't seem to be able to delete any of it from Basecamp.

I know how to do it from the Device but it would be more convenient to do it from the PC as I do most of my planning / housekeeping here.

Is there a way ?

Thanks
  • You should be able to right click on it and select delete. You can also left click on the first item you would like to delete and hold down Shift while you left click the last one. Or if they are not consecutive left click the first one and hold down Ctrl while you click each of the other ones. After you have them selected right click on one of them and select delete this will delete them all at once.

Not Working, but thanks for the reply

I am running the latest version 4.4.6 and there is no Delete option when right clicking.
  • Basecamp can't delete anything from the nuvi/zumo/dezl line ... that must be done on the device itself.

It's good to know that a zumo/dezl is like a nuvi in this regard.

I know it won't work on a nuvi as Iv'e tried every thing I can think of in the past to delete things from my nuvi. Including things that shouldn't be tried at home as it was time for a new nuvi anyway! The deleted data always comes back at power up.

With the latest firmware of the zumo 3x0 series, it's possible to import routes and tracks from the microSD card. Content like waypoints, routes and tracks send to the microSD card can be managed from and within BaseCamp.

Routes (trips) and waypoints (saved or favorites) which are visible in the zumo using the zumo screen can only be deleted from the menu's in the zumo itself, the latest firmware has ialso improvements on this. Trips can be deleted by using JaVaWa Device Manager with the zumo programmed in normal storage mode from the computer.
  • That is also true of the nuvi line, cards are treated differently. Data on cards can be deleted, however if the data has already been imported into the nuvis memory then deleting data on the card will still not delete it from the nuvi. That must be done via the nuvi itself.
