Zoom levels and visible trails

Hi
I am new to Basecamp and looking to use it with OpenStreetMap mapping of the UK. I want to produce hiking routes.

I have Basecamp up and running with the required maps and have noticed that trails are only displayed if I select a particularly high level of zoom. It would be much easier to plan walking routes if the trails showed up on the screen at lower zoom levels too as this would provide an overview of the route.

Is it posssible to control the zoom level at which trails are displayed?

You should have a drop down menu in the tool bar at the top. It should have selections of Lowest, lower, low, medium, high, higher and highest. The higher you select the lower the zoom level that the trails will be displayed. I would try highest and if that's too much detail then reduce it. If it't not there click on View then click Toolbars and put a check next to Detial Level

Duh .... must be tired, thought he'd tried adjusting that but having re-read his post realised he was talking about adjusting zoom levels not detail level. Thanks for the correction :)
