Backup Problem

I have been using Base Camp for a few years with no problems.
I installed the new version 4.4.4 and now can't backup my routes to my memory stick, the pop-up reads -

"The Backup File G:\Basecamp 2014-12-06 Backup is invalid or read only"

I already had a BaseCamp backup file on the memory stick and I have deleted it in case it was causing a conflict.

I have also tried the stick by backing up something else so the stick seems ok.

I'm not sure Basecamp will back up to a memory stick? Did you perhaps back up to your c drive then copy the file to the stick previously?

In any case the easiest and best way IMO is simply to select the data you want to back up then do a right click, send to ... and send that data to the stick.

Basecamp failing to backup - exception error message

Hi everyone,

For some reason my Basecamp (V4.5.2) will not backup using the file-backup command. It completes about 2/3 of a backup and then I get the message that an exception error has occurred.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue please?

Do you happen to have any BirdsEye in your database? In the past there have been issues related to this.
