Newby to BC - get Routing to follow main roads

Trying to switch from MS to BC.

If I use the Trip Planner between two waypoints it follows the main road perfectly.

If I try to create a route with the Routing tool, the route takes every available side road on either side of the main road. I can force it to stay on the main road as long as I click every few hundred yards, but that is nuts.

I have nothing clicked in Edit,Options, Activity Profile, Routing folder to force anything.

My guess is I have something stupidly obvious causing the problem but I am not able to see it.

Have you checked avoidances? You've possibly got avoid highways selected?

No, as stated in my original post:

Is their another place that 'Avoidances' could be activated?

Don't know what I have done, but the problem has cleared itself and now routes on highway as it should.

Think there is going to be quite a learning curve here. :)

Note that under Help there are videos to help you as well as a Welcome to Basecamp wizard and the normal Help function. You may find them useful.
