"Avoid Road" in Bascamp

G'day all,

I have a ZUMO 390 that has a function called "Avoid Road" where you can mark a road to be avoided in all future route calculation. The trouble is that I use Bascamp to do all my route planning and then simply download it to the Zumo.

I like to be able to have that ability in Basecamp when my ZUMO is not plugged in, meaning I am not using the ZUMO maps or features. (map is too slow over USB so I have it loaded on the PC)

Is this now possible ?

I have actually tried not to waste peoples time and searched for this on this forum. Apparently that request was raised as far back as 2009 and the predecessor MapSource or something had that feature but Basecamp didn't back then. Its been 5 years, has that feature now been included in Bascamp and if so could any body point me in the right direction.

Basecamp does not have a specific "Avoid Road" feature but it does allow you to set an area to avoid which you can use to achieve the same results. Right click on the toolbar for a pull down list of tools to select. Check the box next to "Area Avoidances" and it will place the tool in the toolbar. When you are setting avoidance areas be sure you select the activity profile you will be using for the route, i.e. Motorcycling.
