Birdseye

I have a bunch of birdseye imagery downloaded. There has been new imagery updated and now I wish to update. Is there any way to re download my previous birdseye imagey tiles without having to reselect the areas I want? I have about 70 images to re download and don't want to have to manually select each area again. I guess I'm looking for an option to re download or update my previous selections. It would save SO much time over having to reselect each tile I want to download.

Thanks!

I don't see anything in the BC release notes. I wonder why the feature was (silently) removed.

So what is the reason that this feature was removed, and can it be put back in in future versions??

I have opened a case for this. Thank you for the feedback.

    Newer images? Newer than what?

The most recent image available (just downloaded 2 weeks ago) for my hunting land and cabin is from 2010 or earlier because the cabin was built in 2010. When I contacted BirdsEye support, they told me they just updated their software in 2014. I replied that the image I downloaded was 2010 or earlier. They replied that their software was updated, not their images. In fact, they have no idea when their images were captured. When I complained that both Google and Bing have very current images, BirdsEye support replied that they don't get their images from servers but directly from the satellites. What an inane and ridiculous answer! How stupid do they think we are? Directly from the satellites? Only every five years? Come on! I won't renew and pay for obsolete images!

I also read elsewhere that when my BirdsEye subscription expires (they won't refund unused pro rata), all images I have downloaded will become unusable!
  • Images aren't unusable when your subscription expires but Basecamp won't send them to your device. Provided you have the files on your PC though you can manually copy them onto the relevant GPS.

Newer than the ones I had downloaded a couple years ago.
I downloaded birdseye imagery a couple years ago and now there is newer updated imagery available for my area. Newer satellite images. I never updated my birdseye subscription till the newer images came out and was able to use the old ones just fine until I updated to the new ones. Both in basecamp and on my 62S.
And it depends on the area you are in, both google and bing have the same images that birdseye has in my area.
