Version 4.4.4 where oh where is the SELECT icon

Not found on the Toolbar in the usually place... Pan - Zoom - Ruler, but still available with dropdown TOOLS>Select.... what was the thinking on this ??

It's still in my toolbar. Right click on toolbar to open a pulldown list of all toolbar icons and see if it is selected.
