Etrex 20: unable to enter addresses

What maps do you have in your eTrex 20 and which one is currently showing?

The Find function gets its data from the displayed maps. Not all maps have address data in them.

It behaved this with the original demo map coming with the device. I tried Open Street Map maps, it behaved the same way.

That's called the BaseMap. I'm pretty sure it contains no address data at all.

Those may or may not contain address data depending upon the region of the world etc.

Garmin's City Navigator (road) maps do contain address data.

Etrex works fine with Garmins CN mapping. As Stuart says the basemap and most OSM maps don't contain address data.

Well, with the same map, my nuvi can take my address input. But Etrex20 kept asking for state/province, while I think there is not state/province for some foreign countries. There is no way I can input, for example, city first.

Which map? And on your nuvi do you have both it and the CN map selected?

I have to take it back. I might put in the address by search the POI as well with my NUVI.
