I recently purchased a nuvi 2797, although I have had previous models of nuvis. I am, however, just beginning to learn how to use BaseCamp.
I have a number of POIs saved on my computer as .csv files. I use POI Loader to install them on the 2797. They show up just fine as “Custom POIs.” I attach the 2797 to my computer and run BaseCamp. The 2797 shows up in BaseCamp, however NONE of my POIs show up. Neither under the “Data receive from ...” nor in the “Devices” section under “Internal Storage.” The only things that appear are points in the “Saved” option of the 2797 and routes defined on the GPS. If I do a “Receive from Device” the only data BaseCamp downloads are those “Saved” POIs and the routes.
Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is supposed to work? Is there some other way I can get my user defined POIs into BaseCamp?
