Hide active log on map

How can I hide the active log tracks on the map display without deleting them?
  • Only the items in the list you have selected will show on the map. So select a list that doesn't have the log tracks and they won't show. Create a new list if you need to and put in it the things you do want to see. Remember that the items in any list are not the stored items themselves, only pointers to those items in the database. So an item can be in multiple lists, but is only actually stored once in the database, so no worries duplicating. But remember that any item changed in one place (renamed, moved, etc.) is changed every place!
  • When I goto View>Data Filter, I can control the list (some selections show: This filter is empty), but the map never changes. Should I be using another control to suppress the logs or do I have an option selected or not that keeps the map from changing with the list?
  • The data filter affects only what shows in the data pane, everything in the list or folder you have selected will always show on the map. That's why you populate the lists with what you want to see and work with.

    You can't.

Simple enough. I can live with that. Thanks Concours.

Well, you can. Just not with a "hide" command. Say you have A, B, and C in List 1. You want to work with B and C without seeing A. Just create a new List 2 and copy B and C into it. Select it, and A disappears. Select List 1 and it reappears. A lot like a "hide" command, does the same thing.

    resurrecting...

I'm trying to hide track logs when selecting "internal storage". Tracks still show even though they were deleted off the 665. Creating a collection of all internal storage EXCEPT tracks works, but the next time I connect the Zumo any new waypoints selected while on the road wont be in the collection...so I have to create a collection each time?
  • Track logs are different from tracks. You need to delete both track logs and tracks if you don't want either to show.
