I'm thinking about a Chromebook. The only piece of software I'd like to use when I'm traveling that I don't have a solution for is BaseCamp. Has anyone used used Chrome's remote desktop application to access BaseCamp on a remote pc. I have a W7 PC that runs 24/7 as a home server that I can run BaseCamp on, set up a virtual SD card to mimic a Garmin device, then copy specific gpx files to Google Drive to move the files back and forth from my Chromebook connected Edge and Etrex devices.
