I want to clear old routes, tracks, waypoints from my Garmin GPS and load new ones. But every time I clear everything from the device, and create a new collection, and transfer it, the old stuff re-appears. Even factory reset and removing collection does not make it go away. Is there a way to clear out the old?
You don't say which device you have? However I suspect the issue is that within the GPX folder on your nuvi/zumo there are gpx files that you've sent there before, these aren't deleted with a master reset. Have a look in your GPX folder and delete all the .gpx files there. Disconnect your GPS from your PC and now do a master reset. All the favourites should now be gone.
