Cannot View Downloaded Map that is installed on Device in BaseCamp

Hi folks

Forgive if this has been covered. I couldn't find an answer. Very grateful for any pointers here.

I just bought City Navigator Europe as a download, which successfully associated itself with my device.

Device = eTrex Legend HCx.

I just installed BaseCamp; v.4.4.2

and the USB drivers, v.2.3.1.0

The maps are perfectly visible in the device but not in BaseCamp. The tutorial suggests I should simply connect my device to the laptop with BaseCamp running and select the map from the map select dropdown. But all I get is the basic global map.

Basecamp cannot read the maps on the microSD card in your eTrex Legend HCx without it being in mass storage mode.

Thank you Stuart. Does this mean the only way to use the map, e.g., to create new routes etc, is to remove the card and slot it directly into the laptop? Transfer the route, then put it back into the device? Am I missing something?

No, you need to setup your Etrex so it's in mass storage and not Garmin mode ...
