We are aware of the routing issue and we do know that it is both Mac and PC. We have someone looking into it. Thank you all for the feedback.

BaseCamp download to GPS error Windoes Registry

I downloaded BaseCamp 4.4.1. When an attempt is made to download a route, an error pop-up screen occurs that says "BaseCamp has encountered an error accesssing the Window's Registry. Please contact BaseCamp Support..... When you exit out of the error popup window, BaseCamp closes.

This is on a Windows 8.1 system.

Anyone else encountering this error, and if so, any solutions?

I am having the same problem, worked fine till the update 4.41 really stinks because everything is useless at this point for laying out the trail groundwork....

Micah,

Try the reset option mentioned earlier in this thread. It's a pain to have to redo some of your UI options but it did fix the registry error on my Win 8.1 laptop. If you need to get running right away this is probably the easiest option.

Australian maps the same issues. Routes are full of straight lines. Nav5 will tell you to leave the road. The routes can not be edited in base camp, latest version.

If you see this, insert a new point just before or after the troubled part and delete the old via-point solves it for me in windows.

You can also move the existing viapoint futher on the road to the point the direct stops.

I had this with a route, after a route to track conversion. And i used several City Navigator maps.

If you are getting the Windows Registry error when trying to send data to a device use the Reset feature in BaseCamp to resolve the issue.

1. Open BaseCamp
2. Click Edit menu
3. Click Options
4. Click General icon
5. Click Reset button

This takes a few settings back to Default but none of the data will be lost.
