In BaseCamp, on the left side, I select the Device, Montana 600, then I select Internal Storage, then in the lower-left it shows the contents of Internal Storage. In the list of tracks, in BaseCamp, I can see a specific track listed, but when I eject the device and unplug the USB cable and go to Track Manager on the device, that same track does not appear on the list of tracks on the device. Any ideas?
It is definitely showing as a track in BC, and not a route? If a route it would show in Route Planner?
Also how did it get there? Maybe there's a mismatch between the file name and the name within the GPX file. Have you tried counting the number of tracks showing in BC and the number showing in Track manager? If the same then it'll be that.
It has the little footprints icon that the other tracks have. I copied it and pasted it into the Internal Storage folder in basecamp. There are 28 screens of tracks so I couldn't count them all. I renamed the track to 00011a and copied and pasted it into Internal Storage, it shows up in the track list in BaseCamp but not on the device. Is there a setting in the Montana 600 that determines whether some tracks show on-screen?
I discovered that there is a limit to the number of tracks that the GPS unit will display, even though there is enough storage space and the track(s) are in the unit, the tracks will not show up on the screen. So, now it's time for me to organize the data and clear all the extra junk out of the GPS unit. Sussamb --- thank you very much for your help, you got me started in the right direction to figure this thing out.
