Lost track time and position info after 4.3 update

Running Basecamp 4.3.5 on a Win7 machine and after Jul 1 update have lost time and position information from all previous tracks. Tracks transferred from GPS after the update are complete. I have been experimenting, trying to get everything to work, so I admit I may have made a bad situation worse. For instance, I have a database folder called 4.3 under the folder for 4.2 (/garmindata/database/4.2/database/4.3), but I also have a 4.3 folder (/garmindata/4.3). (The folder garmindata is my designated "root" folder). Is there a way to merge the information so I can get it all back?

Thanks for the link. I had read it earlier but am not sure how it would help me in this situation. As far as I can remember, all was well until the July 1 update, so I have to assume that some step that was part of the update caused the problem. I realize that it's easy to copy the track segment files, but of course that does not update the alldata.gdb file, so there is no change. Hopefully someone else has been challenged with this problem and has found a solution. Perhaps I have to revert to version 4.2?

You're correct in that the AllData.gdb file and the files in the TrackSegments folder go together. Copying one without the other causes the issue you're seeing.

All I can say is to try copying the entire contents of the 4.2 folder to the 4.3 folder. Of course this will overwrite any changes you've made since updating. If that is an issue you could export the new data (assuming you remember what changed) and import it again after the copy operation.

I don't trust the BC database. It gets backed up often so I can restore it if necessary. I also save all tracks separately in GPX/GDB files so I can always import them again.
