Not sure what these are yet, but if they are what I think, this will be cool!

SUPER excited! I have been trying to figure out new ways to ask for both of these. I will definitely be providing feedback real soon.

Do you get an error message before the crash? Can you post it here?

Unfortunately, no.

The program window appears (gray, unpopulated) but overlaid with a Win 8.1 error box "Basecamp application has stopped working ....etc). Closing that closes what's left of BC.

There is however a WER log and there are entries in the System Event Viewer. I provided these to support at the time of the original problem with 4.3.5. If you'd like copies of any of the originals or the current ones, please let me know.

If this is what I think it is and it's the balloon text box that pops up whenever you rest the pointer on the map then I don't see what changed. The damned thing still pops up right where you don't want it. If it's something else would you please explain?

Otherwise, so far so good. Installed on Win7/64 bit with no issue.

LOVE the route divide functionality! It looks like you addressed both camps, those who wanted dupes, and those who don't. WELL DONE!:o

I thought the "Find Category" would retain last selection, but alas, it seems that was a different feature.

Joining of Mixed-Travel Routes is working much better. Thanks! I often join Direct Routes and along-road routes which the prior version of BC did not do so well.

By the way, it sure would be nice to have some level of integration with Bing Maps. I'm not a big Microsoft user (Mac is my preferred OS) but Bing Maps have a bit more stability than Google does right now and they have a GPX Export features. One additional point is that Bing uses "here" (NAVTEQ) maps.

Here are the 12 new symbols that I see. The waypoint names correspond to the symbol names used in GPX files.

Note that the blue cross symbol (Hospital, Euro) was used for "Medical Facility" in previous versions of BC (and MapSource). The new blue H symbol now corresponds to "Medical Facility". That seems like a bug to me. Changing a long standing symbol (in devices and computer software) is unwise IMO.
