Pretty new to gps stuffs, hope this is the right forum for my ?

I've loaded tracks or routes(haven't got clear which it which yet) to the 62STC using BaseCamp a few times. More than once when trying to use the path on the road the Garmin tells me it can't oblige because it will only handle 50 waypoints. That seems like a big problem since some of these tracks I am trying to use have a couple thousand waypoints. I'm guessing there's something simple I'm doing wrong since I really don't have a clue yet? Loren

Only routes are limited to a certain number of waypoints on most GPS devices. Tracks can have many thousands of points. You'll need to work out which you're using :)

It depends on what you're using it for and the information you need. For example while walking a track may be sufficient, but if using a GPS to navigate a car on road you'd want to be using a route so you get 'turn by turn' directions.
