What Is 001 Imported From My GPS Device?

Hello All,

I have been playing around with my new nuvi 2797 and BaseCamp and so far nearly everything is amazing! :) Apart from a few questions I have no issues with either product.

I have a question regarding data that is imported into BaseCamp from my nuvi. I connected my nuvi to my PC USB cable and from BaseCamp I selected: Device->Receive from device..., selected the nuvi, and then clicked ok.

On the left side of the screen in BaseCamp I can see all the data that was imported. I turned off track logging so the only things I see are locations. My nuvi only has 1 saved location, my Home address and that shows up but there is another location that shows up called 001.

I have no idea what 001 means or where it came from. The only thing I can think of is that it's a "leftover" location because I recently deleted my Home location and added it again. Perhaps the nuvi backs up old Home locations as like 001, 002, etc.?

Can anyone tell me what 001 is and how do I get rid of it?

It's somewhere on your nuvi, have you checked Favourites/saved places?

Also with your nuvi hooked up to your PC delete any stray gpx files in the GPX folder, in fact you can safely delete ALL files in the GPX folder.

001 is often where you are now. As in your current location.
