convert waypoints to a Track NOT a route

Choose direct activity profile, then you can create route.

It will. Once in direct profile select the waypoints then right click and select Create route from selected points.

Note the waypoint order in the route will be in the order you choose the waypoints, so block select won't necessarily give you the correct result.

You can also use "Control" + "Shift" + "Arrow Up"/"Arrow Down"/"Home"/"End" to select multiple points instead of using the mouse.

To create a track.....highlight the route and click on the "name label" to get to the properties tab, then bottom right there is an option to create a track from route.

If you do the basecamp proces by selection of all waypoints, create a direct route and then a track, dont forget to delete all waypoints an the route, you dont need them anymore ;)
