After a somewhat recent update, perhaps 3.x to 4.x, The new version did not recognize the old databases. I had several databases, and the drop down arrow for databases only showed Default.
I had to recreate the several databases all over again, then restore the appropriate backup into the appropriate database. If I had not had current backups I would have been up the creek. I do backup fairly often, but certainly not after every use.
Will another update, perhaps 4.x to 5.x, do the same thing? If yes, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE warn before the update so we can be sure to have a current backup.
Better yet, ensure that new updates recognize previous databases.
