Yesterday my dad bought a Garmin Oregon 600 which he wants to use at an upcoming hiking event. The organization of this event has published the routes which can be downloaded as gpx. So we did this and imported them into Basecamp. However somehow Basecamp divided this one route into 4 different routes (basically 4 sections of the route), and not all in the right order.
After we tried to resolve this for several Hours we gave up and used the option to combine the 4 routes into one new route. We had to change the order of the different routes but eventually we succeeded to create the correct route. We deleted the original 4 routes and saved the new route. So far so good.
Then we exported the route to the device. To our disappointment the route only showed a part....the first 16 kilometers out of a total of 40+. The rest of it had mysteriously disappeared.
Right now, i dont know what to do anymore. We tried to import other routes from other sites but they all showed as tracks and not as routes. They seemed to be fine.
Help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
