In Basecamp, when I create a Route, it maps as Activity type Direct. Usually, when I then select Activity type Hiking, the Route would remap as a hiking route and would conform to the trails. This morning, Basecamp decided to stop behaving that way. It maps as Direct, and if I click Recalculate, it remaps as Direct even though Hiking is selected. If I open up a Route and see that there is Elevation data but no Ascend/Descend data, and if I then click Recalculate, the Ascend/Descend data do not appear. Instead, the Route remaps as Direct even though Hiking is selected, and stays that way even though I repeatedly select Hiking.
I am two-thirds of the way through planning our through-hike of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. Time is running short. Hope someone can give me some insight.
I have an Oregon 450t with the Montana 1:24000 map chip, and I have Version 4.3.4 of Basecamp. Everything worked OK until this morning.
