Garmin BaseCamp 4.3.4. does not start on CPU's without SSE2 support

On computers with CPU's without SSE2 BaseCamp does not start.

Got the same error 0xC000001D with Garmin BaseCamp as for Garmin Express.

Please recompile all your software with /arch:IA32 or /arch:SSE parameter.

A computer with an Athlon XP 3200+, 2 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3450 AGP and a fast harddisk is fast enought for Windows 7.

Your software runs on such systems without problmes if you use the above compiler settings.

That is correct. Try the older version 4.2.5 that supprts XP.

That's what I am already doing, but a better solution would be to create new builds.

Same problems exists for Garmin Express (and maybe other software from Garmin I didn't used so far).

Other developpers with the same problem in their software (like SpeedCommander or AutoRuns from Microsoft Technet Sysinternals) are doing it.
So why not Garmin?

After a close evaluation of the changes required to support these processors and their outdated architecture it was decided that we will not be able to add compatibility for these CPUs. We are always looking to give all customers the best possible user experience but supporting these XP era CPUS is not in best interest of current application development or the majority of customers as a whole.
