New video issue with Windows 8.1

I'm still on 4.3.1, not gonna upgrade until I see a stable program.

Garmin is aware of the video issue with Windows 8.1, but something I didn't have before that has started in the last two days is the route is not on the center of the road. If you zoom in as far as you can, the route line is on the very outside edge of the road, not in the middle like usual. Looking at the route (zoomed out) the route is 1/4 inch off of the road (I-95).

I don't believe my laptop has done any updates

4.3.4 is much more stable then 4.3.1. It is always recommend that you have the latest software release.

My question for you us was the route possibly calculated with another map or on a device?
  • The routes were created several months ago, nothing has changed unless my laptop is doing updates in the background. Regarding 4.3.4, none of my issues have been addressed, which seem to all be display problems, so I don't see a reason to invite new issues right now. Looking forward to the next fix.

BTW, the low clearances on the RV760 and in Basecamp, do not match the actual road coming off the George Washington Bridge crossing NYC headed to 295 then east on 495 across Long Island...you get three warnings of 12'8" low clearance which are not there, but just before that are several 12'10" low clearances that the RV760 or Basecamp does not warn you about. I checked out the three giving me a warning several months ago and knew I could drive the road, you can see in Google Earth that the exit ramp is above the others at the interchange with clear sky above. I forced Basecamp to take me that way and I drove straight through.

We will be continuing to test and improve Windows 8 experiences. Several of our developers here have been given Windows 8 machines because of some of the reports we have had. We hope to have them resolved as quickly as we can.

With regard to your warnings, this sounds like a map related issue, and there is a place in BaseCamp to report map errors.
  • Can you tell me, if I create a route in BC, send it to the RV760, will I get any issues (low clearances) with the route as soon as it's ready to navigate, or do I need to be a certain distance before they start showing up?
