Basecamp does not recognize MAPS installed on my computer.

Prior to the auto update of Basecamp 4.3.3, I was able to use Basecamp without connecting any of my device to my computer. With the 4.3.3 update installed Basecamp now does not recognize the Maps installed on my machine. Where do I go to tell Basecamp where the MAPS are installed on my computer so I can use Basecamp without having to connect any of my devices.
Well Basecamp should be looking in the same place, I've never had to tell BC where to look for maps. Try uninstalling then reinstalling Basecamp.
SUSSAMB,
I believe the problem comes from the fact that I had to manually delete all Garmin directories except AppData due to a R6034 error "An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly." when I tried to launch Basecamp after the auto update was applied. Whenever I update and install new maps on my device and computer I chose a directory location other than the "C" drive and this has worked for me for several years now including when I was using MapSource. I've never had an update go bad on me like I experienced with 4.3.3.
Moreover I had to use a third-party application to uninstall Basecamp because the update also deleted any Uninstall path. That said after presumably uninstalling Basecamp, I still had to manually delete all associated directories except AppData before reinstalling and getting Basecamp to launch. That's when I noticed my trips were all off because the only map available is the Global Map. Once I connect any of my devices Basecamp reads the map on the device (ever so slowly even though I'm running Win 7 64-bit) and eventually I have a map to use. Once I disconnect the device the map goes away. That's why I'm try to find out how I can get Basecamp to read the map on the computer even though Garmin Express installed it in a different directory than suggested. It might help to mention that I was running Basecamp 425 before the auto-update took place and put me on a downward spiral. I should also mention that even with Basecamp installed there is no uninstall icon or button to achieve that goal and uninstall plus reinstalling did not solve the problem
Basecamp does not recognize MAPS installed on my computer. [RESOLVED]
Since I had to manually delete all subdirectories in the main GARMIN directory in order to reinstall the Basecamp application, one of the applications deleted was "Garmin Express". Once I uninstalled and reinstalled Garmin Express plus downloaded and reinstalled the latest North American Map, it is now available in Basecamp thereby allowing me to work on trips without having to have a device attached to the computer.
