Avoiding Switzerland?

I have been wrestling with this long enough now. First, its damn slow.
Im leaving for south europe and there is no way that the program is friendly to work with.
Im making a route from Lörrach in Germany to Genova in Italy. Basecamp draws the line AROUND Switzerland through France, an extra 400 km. HAHAHAHA.
And yes, i have set the correct settings.
GARMIN? BITE ME! If you cant do better, ill buy a TomTom.
Tyre is a great program.

Ranting won't help. If you have a question please ask it. I've just tried a route between the points you mention and BC works fine so there is something wrong with your set up.

Naah. No question. Just frustrated as many many people are about this program. I dont know how to set it upp so it doesnt
avoid a whole country. No other program does that. When i put start Lörrach end Gonova, avoid payroads, other programs writes a line perfectly.
BC avoid Switzerland completly. What setting makes that?

I'm guessing that it's avoiding Switzerland since you would need to pay a toll to use their motorways and the alternative route, avoiding Switzerland, will be quicker than heading through Switzerland off motorways.

How can it be an extra 400 KM ??

The direct route in Basecamp is giving me is 248.4km and Google Maps makes it 250 km

Can you please check in your Activity Profile if you have selected (under Feature Type Avoidances) Toll Roads ?

With that activated the route goes from 248.4 km to 329 Km which is an increase of around 80 Km

Ps: I used these Points:

N47.61256° E7.66408° <- Starting Point
N46.21038° E6.14247° <- End Point.
