Problems with high resolution display

Hello,
I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13.3" ultrabook with a 3200x1800 screen and Windows set to zoom at 200%.
Unfortunately, BaseCamp is not usable on this computer: the display is not zoomed correctly, the menus are very small, the entries in the left pane are overlapping, the text on the map is too small...
Working with the problem suddenly displays all the items correctly, until I quit and restart it.
When I start the application, it starts "full screen", but using only a quarter of the display. I had to restore it and put it full screen again to make it work full screen.
A nightmare

Same here with my Dell Venue 11 Pro, using Windows 8.1. It has a 10.6 inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1280. I have it set for a 175% zoom which makes most programs look great. Basecamp was OK until it updated to the latest version. Now the menu bar is set at some miniscule font size (2 point?) which makes it unusable. The advanced settings in Win 8.1 which let you set the font size for menus, icons, tooltips etc are being ignored.

I am a rooky MS Surface Pro user, Windows 8.1, 1920x1280 resolution screen. Basecamp opens with about 1/4 screen, tiny menu and tool bars, too small to use touch reliably. Can expand to full screen but Basecamp tool bars, icons etc. are really small, I would like to find a way to enlarge them. the CNNA map itself works and can be zoomed by touch like the rest of 8.1 apps.

    Windows 8.1
If display if extremely small, from Task Manager click on BaseCamp, select Properties and check the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.

    Windows 8.1 other issues:
Existing error: Program launches initially but fails to launch on second try. Do not disable Welcome to Basecamp tutorial, it will not allow the program to re-launch.

    Windows 8.1 clean re-install ideas:
    Other tips found and plagiarized:
To perform a clean reinstall, remove Basecamp database, the default BC database location is
    C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Garmin\BaseCamp (WinXP)
    C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\BaseCamp (Vista, Win7, Win8)
    Remove the Folder: C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\GARMIN_Corp\BaseCamp.exe_Url_urbejbdz42c555ix3xqbitecusqt0tuj
