Hey All im tryin to load laps of quad trails for the quad squad but when I go to install the area map it says it will be sent to my device Says it can talk a few hrs I hit install it comes up with ( Maps not transferred to GPSMAP 62sc unit # . The data was not successfully sent. How do I gew this to work using garmin basecamp?
Ok sorry new with this stuff here is there web site http://www.quadsquad.ca/node/41 an im using windows 7. an should I load it on an micro sd card an install when we get it figured out?
Ok, so you can see this map in Basecamp? And your 62 shows in the top right hand pane?
Right click on User Data underneath your 62. Select Install maps. Follow the wizard that pops up. If it fails where is it failing?
Personally I keep all my data (maps, waypoints, routes etc) on the card. Once I downloaded a corrupted map which stopped the GPS working. If it had been on the card I could simply have removed the card and got it working again out in the field. As it was I needed a PC and a few tricks to get it all sorted.
ok so under my 62 it says internal storage an next line says worldwide autoroute DEM Basemap. I tried to put the map on a sd card an it says failed too. So I clicked on the (Maps) in the top pane an drop down to quad squad . its checked then install maps an new pane opens then select device an I select my 62sc an it says I have 3.52GB of free space left after install. I hit install then it says maps not transferred to gpsmap 62sc . The data was not successfully sent.
What point do you get to then? Does it fail at the point you click Install and you then get the message?
Do you have the Garmin Communicator plug in installed? Click on here ... if it says the plug in isn't installed then install it. Now try to send the maps.
